Biography

Vasileios Papaliagkas was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He obtained his MD and PhD degree on “Clinical study of apoptosis on the basis of cerebrospinal fluid proteins and cognitive event-related potentials in patients with mild cognitive impairment” at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received an MSc degree in Research Methodology in Biomedicine, Biostatistics and Clinical Bioinformatics at the University of Thessaly. Upon completion of his Neurology Residency, at St George’s Hospital, Royal London Hospital and G. Papanikolaou Hospital (2014) he received a postgraduate scholarship (ARISTEIA) from AUTH (2014) “Evaluation of cognitive functions in patients with multiple sclerosis using EEG high resolution (HD-EEG) in combination with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS-EEG)”.

His research interests are in the fields of dementia, epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. He has authored 30 manuscripts in peer-review journals and performed more than 50 presentations in national and international conferences.
