Programme

After the successful completion of the thesis during the 3rd semester, the MSc leads to a Master’s Degree in “Research Methodology in Medicine and Health Sciences” in one of the following two specializations:

  • Basic Medical Research
  • Clinical Medical Research

The MSc “Research Methodology in Medicine and Health Sciences” has been operating at the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 1998. The number of graduates is 565 postgraduate students (April 2024), who staff academic and research institutions and promote modern cutting-edge medical technology. Graduate students are trained in new research methods through the use of electronic libraries and databases. They are specialised in the design, development, writing and evaluation of research studies aimed at linking clinical and basic medical research.

The MSc “Research Methodology in Medicine and Health Sciences” has two (2) tracks: Basic Medical Research and Clinical Medical Research.

The Steering Committee of the MSc “Research Methodology in Medicine and Health Sciences” consists of five (5) members:
